Boats have been one of the oldest means of transport, with them helping in the discovery of new unexplored regions of the world and shaping the history of humankind. While technology has given us humans faster means of transport like roads, rail, and airplanes, boats and ships are very much in demand, particularly for transporting large cargo from one part of the world to other.
In addition to being used for hauling cargo, boats are nowadays being used as vehicles for pleasure, with the wealthy and powerful buying yachts to enjoy their vacations in the middle of the ocean, while having modern facilities as well as luxury on tap.
One such yacht is the “Streets of Monaco” a US$ 1 billion yacht, which aims to provide the complete Monaco experience on a boat. Having a length of 152.4 metres, it has the complete city of Monaco represented on it, with miniaturised versions of the Monte Carlo casino, the Hotel de Paris, and even the Monte Carlo race track. It is run by a large crew of 70 members and can accommodate only 16 guests.
The sides of the boat are designed to represent the iconic Monaco architecture, which comprises of the best of European and Arabic styles. Each of the seven guest suites consists of a reception, bathroom, dressing room, bedroom as well as a balcony. The owners of the boat have their unique 3-floor apartment, with their own swimming pools and other luxuries.
The “Streets of Monaco” also features a helicopter and beach deck and even has its own sightseeing submarine to enjoy the sights that lay below. The boat is still waiting for a buyer, though, but considering its opulence, it will get one soon enough.
