While Sports Utility Vehicles, abbreviated SUVs, were always in good demand due to their off-road capabilities along with their brawny looks, many people were hesitant to buy them due to their large bulky size, which made them hard to park and maneuver. Car manufacturers realised this problem and made a new type of vehicle where they reduced the size of the SUV but kept its off-road DNA and styling intact. They came to be known as compact SUV. These cars became bestsellers, which lead to manufacturers focusing on making compact SUVs like Jaguar did with the 2017 Jaguar F-Pace.
Being a compact SUV, the Jaguar F-Pace can seat up to 5 people. The interior I love is dark grey in color with a leather wrapped steering wheel and beige leather seats for superior style and comfort. The Jaguar F-Pace comes with 4 engines, two being diesel engines and the other two being gasoline engines. The diesels come in either a 2.0L Turbocharged variant producing 180HP and 317 lb-ft of torque or a 3.0L Turbocharged producing 300HP and 516 lb-ft of torque. The gasoline engines come in either a 3.0L V6 Supercharged variant producing 340HP and 332 lb-ft of torque or another 3.0L V6 Supercharged producing 380HP with 332 lb-ft of torque.
The F-Pace comes with an 8-speed automatic transmission or a 6-speed automatic transmission for hassle free shifting. It also comes in two drive variants- an RWD or Rear Wheel Drive variant and an AWD or All Wheel Drive variant.
Prices of the Jaguar F-Pace start from $40,990 for the base diesel variant and $42,390 for the base petrol variant and goes all the way to $56,700 for the top of the line “S” variant. Limited edition versions are also sold in certain markets, with the prices being higher than the usual variants.
